I bought his book "Somnambulists," and enjoy studying it to try to find clues to Brubaker's creative process. I can only guess at it. But I have begun keeping a box in the garage where I stash odd hunks of metal and wood and twisted wire found on my daily hikes on Eastern Sierra range land. A sketchbook will someday help me figure out what I am meant to do with it all.
